When it comes to video marketing, there are countless options available. But how do you know what really works and what doesn’t? The truth is, many businesses end up generating low-quality leads from their video content. But here’s the good news: there’s a way to intentionally create high-quality leads, and I’m here to show you how.
As someone who produces over 50 YouTube channels that act as marketing machines, all generating high-quality leads, I’ve learned a thing or two about what works. Let’s dive in and explore how you can start building your own lead-generating video strategy.
Paid vs. Organic Traffic: Which is Better?
Let’s start with a comparison: paid traffic versus organic traffic. Both have their pros and cons, but understanding the difference is key to choosing the right strategy for your business.
Paid Traffic Paid traffic involves paying for advertising to get your content in front of people. The major advantage of paid ads is their immediate visibility. When you pay for ads, you get fast results, and you can scale up quickly once you find something that works. You also have the ability to easily split test, which allows you to optimize your ads and funnels for maximum performance.
However, there’s a downside. Paid traffic can become very expensive, and often the leads you generate are low quality. This means that while you may get fast results, those results aren’t always sustainable in the long run. The ads themselves are temporary, meaning once you stop paying, the leads stop coming in.
Organic Traffic On the other hand, organic traffic is all about creating content that people find naturally. The beauty of organic traffic is that it’s cost-effective and evergreen. This means that once you create a video or piece of content, it can continue to generate leads for years to come. As you create more content, you build more momentum, and your online presence continues to grow.
The best part of organic marketing is that it helps build a relationship of trust with your audience. Through your content, people begin to see you as an expert, and over time, this builds you into a thought leader in your field. Most importantly, organic traffic generates high-quality, referral-based leads, which are far more valuable than those from paid ads.
The downside? Organic traffic takes time. It’s slower to build momentum and may take longer to see a return on investment (ROI). But with patience and persistence, it’s well worth it in the long run.
The Power of Video Content
Video itself offers numerous advantages, whether you’re working with paid or organic traffic. The combination of visual, audio, and written elements makes video incredibly captivating. Unlike other forms of content, video demands your audience’s full attention. People aren’t watching videos while multitasking—they’re focused, making it easier for you to engage with them.
Video also allows you to communicate emotions in ways that other formats can’t. By looking directly into the camera, I’m able to establish a deeper connection with you, as if we’re making eye contact. This personal touch helps create a more intimate experience, allowing your audience to connect with you on a human level.
Furthermore, video enables you to show rather than just tell. You can demonstrate products, services, or strategies in real time, making it easier for your audience to understand what you’re offering.
My 3-Video Marketing Strategy
One of the most effective strategies I’ve developed for YouTube is the 3-video marketing strategy. This approach allows you to systematically build your audience and establish trust while delivering consistent, high-quality content. I’ve dedicated an entire episode to explaining this strategy in detail, and I highly recommend you check it out if you want to take your video marketing efforts to the next level.
